Diners at Ermelo's Thai Asian restaurant LAZYTIGER are forgiven for momentarily forgetting that they're actually out on the Veluwe heath. The layered ‘jungle garden’ finds itself naturally encapsulated by the local woodland, with diners entering the restaurant grounds by way of a specially-designed Thai gate.
The VIC designed and constructed garden doesn't just offer its visitors the gastronomic pleasures of the restaurant's Asian cuisine, it also offers a unique dining experience.
A Thai lucky total of nine decked patios are scattered across a gravelled enclosure featuring a central pond adjoining the largest of the nine patios, itself roofed and housing the restaurant bar.
The enclosure is a great place to enjoy drinks or a meal amongst a variety of blooming and perennial trees.
The patios are partly hidden amongst tropical vegetation rising up from a tree line consisting of bamboo, shrubs, climbers, perennials and other trees.
The Asian ornaments scattered among the vegetation give a special feel, as do the spot-light illuminated huts, trees and the neon advert at the entrance to the restaurant.
